Advice to those Members wishing to purchase International Tickets

Until 2017, Carlisle RFC received a list of tickets available to its members, itemised according to the various pricings. In 2017, this system changed and the Club now purchases tickets upon receipt of money from members. This piece of further information is passed to anyone wishing to buy tickets.

1. It is to the advantage of the member to purchase tickets as soon as possible after receipt of the order form. Waiting reduces the possibility of receiving tickets in specified categories.
2. Tickets must be accompanied with a cheque made payable to Carlisle RFC and include the cost of Special Delivery if that is required. No cheque means no tickets; the Club will not underwrite tickets under any circumstances.
3. Carlisle RFC is aware of the number of tickets available – in 2017 this was 44 tickets per HOME international. It may vary in the future. Once this number is reached, no further tickets can be purchased unless some become available on the ticket exchange where prices increase.
4. In the event of a seating category being sold out, Carlisle RFC will attempt to purchase tickets on the member’s behalf at the next price down. The member will not be asked if this is satisfactory as this reduces the possibility of being able to buy tickets in the best category available. (It will be assumed that the purchaser wants to go to the match.) Notification will be made in due course.

In the event of there being too few tickets to meet members’ requirements, a drawing will take place.

1. As per information on the application letter, tickets will be drawn in pairs. If there is an odd number of tickets, the final drawing will be for three tickets.
2. If the Club has purchased tickets for a member at a price lower than the one stated on application, the member will be eligible for the drawing in that category only.
3. If a member does not wish to use the tickets from the drawing, then the member will be required to inform the Club and they will be reallocated to members.

Stamped and Addressed Envelopes

Some members are failing to include the required SAE. In such cases, the member will be contacted via email, if they have provided an email address. The member will then be expected to collect the tickets at a time specified in the contacting email. (Sorry to be a bit blunt there but, in the past, some have not come at a suitable time of day.)
