New Guide Dog pup named after the founder of rugby. A fund raising dinner last year, saw the proceeds split between the charity and the club.

Carlisle RFC and their supporters held their bi-annual sporting dinner and the generosity of those attending and sponsoring the event, allowed us to donate £2.5K to Guide Dogs. That amount of sponsorship allowed the club to sponsor a pup and choose the name for the dog.

Ellis, a yellow labrador retriever was born as one of a litter of seven pups at the breeding centre in Warwickshire on 7th December 2014. His dad is Gus and mum, Unis.

The name Ellis was thought to be an appropriate name in honour of the founder of our great Game.

Watch out for updates when they become available.

Thanks again to all those who gave so generously to support both Carlisle RFC and Guide Dogs.
