This years award ceremony took place yesterday evening Friday 10th May

Thanks to everyone who attended and contributed to a successful Senior Presentation Evening last night. No doubt there are a few sore heads today but we hope you all enjoyed the evening.

We were very happy to have as our guests of honour, former RFU President John Owen and current Cumbria CB Chairman Neil Marston, who helped present the awards.

Hosted by our inimitable and erudite President, Phil Healy, awards were presented to our Womens, Colts and Mens sections by John, and Neil presented Mens captain Josh Holmes with the trophy for winning Cumbria 1 league.

The award winners were as follows;
Most improved Player : Emma Taylor
Coaches Player : Sarah Smyth
Players Player : Gina Barnes
Awards were presented for reaching 50 appearances to ;
Kim Fitzmaurice, and Bethan Lloyd
and for reaching 100 appearances to;
Laura Cunningham, Steph Musgrave, Phillipa Chadwick and Sam Meakin

Sam, who is stepping down as Womens Coach, also received a framed shirt from the Cougars, and was awarded the Mike Bewley award in recognition of her services to rugby.

Coaches Player : Joseph Batty
Players Player : Jake Dawson

Barry Stewart Front row award : Mark Greenwood
Coaches Player of the Year : Tom Graham
Players Player and Young Player of the Year : Tyler Callaghan
Most Improved Player : Alfie Batty
Receiving an award for reaching 25 appearances : Lloyd Clark
Receiving awards for reaching 50 appearances : James Brocket and Robbie James

Once again thanks to all who made the evening a success, and to everyone on and off the pitch who helped contribute to a successful season for the club.
We hope you all enjoy having a few weeks off, before preseason starts in 6-7 weeks time!
