The weekend events involved team from all over the UK involving age groups under 8 to under 15.
Carlisle were represented by the under 15 team who would play round robin games, over the Saturday and Sunday against Southport, Shrewsbury, Harlow, Dudley and Nuneaton.
Most families arrived on the Friday night at Southport’s Pontins Holiday Camp. Rumour has it that some parents may have stayed up after 9 o’clock!
The Saturday games were competitively fought with Carlisle losing two and winning three games. The highlight of the day was a win over Nuneaton who had not lost a game, with their squad, since 2013.

Saturday night saw more partying and a rerun of the games played on Saturday. Again Carlisle played well and eventually came third in the competition.
For the way the team performed and conducted themselves the referees and organisers were unanimous in awarding Carlisle the 'Fair Play' trophy for the two day competition.Parents and Coaches are very proud of the boys who took part and they showed real Cumbrian Spirit over the whole weekend.
The tour was made possible by the help of all the parents and coaches and of course some great funding from The Hadfield Trust, Park Gate, Calder Foods and successful Tesco Bag Pack which the boys carried out in full kit!
